Firefox is great; I’m a committed fan. (Those who know me know I’ve written one plug-in [URL Link], and sort-of maintain another [Neo Diggler]).
It’s in order to update these plug-ins that I’ve been trialling the Firefox 3 betas, as I tend to.
And it’s better than ever. Mind you, if you’re a fan, you’ll be expecting that, and if you’re not a fan by now … well, I guess nothing I can say here will convince you. Even yesterday I discovered a small new feature (admittedly in the beta, and seemingly only in Linux): if you select part of a page, then drag that selection around (e.g., to dump it into ScribeFire), you get a little thumbnail of the selection.
It’s touches like that that keep me hooked; I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for the Windows version, but then: what are you still using Windows for? Come on, this is the 21st. Century; dive in!
Do try Firefox, if you’ve not yet: you won’t regret it.
